Water-based Zinc Stearate Emulsion
1.Introduction
YS-1036X is a hydrophilic emulsion made of high-quality zinc stearate and various synergists. It is specially modified for water-based wood primer.
Zinc Stearate Emulsion, also called aqueous emulsion of zinc stearate or zinc distearate, offers a number of chemical properties that are invaluable from a manufacturing perspective. These include lubricity, compatibility and hydrophobicity.

3.Features
- Excellent in sanding, matting and anti-shrinkage for water-based paints and coatings.
- Good compatibility with resin.
- Fast dispersion.

4.Application
- Preferred transparent putty filler for water-based paint, water-based alkyd, water-soluble polyurethane, water-soluble acrylic acid, acrylic emulsion and other similar systems.
- Prior option in high-quality water-based coatings for its outstanding transparency, defoaming, stability, anti-settling, drying, dispersion and grinding, too improve the hydrophobicity of the coating surface and the feel of the paint film.
- As a flattening agent, filler, stabilizer, anti-settling agent and waterproofing agent for water-based inks.
5.Storage and Transportation
- Indoor storage and temperature between 0 °C and 45 °C to avoid freezing ice or rapid volatilization of water. Avoid prolonged exposure to the sun.
- Do not stack together with strong acid or strong alkaline compounds to avoid chemical reaction between zinc stearate and leaked acid or alkali.
- Sealed in its original packaging under appropriate conditions, it has storage stability for at least half a year. If it exceeds the effective storage period, it doesn't mean that the emulsion cannot be used, but it must be evaluated in the relevant applications to prove it's still effective.
- Do not use this emulsion in acidic conditions.
